PREGNANCY DIAGNOSIS

Pregnancy diagnosis is an essential part of your breeding management program. The goal is to identify cattle & horses that are not pregnant so that they can be bred again as soon as possible. Ultrasound technology can be used to detect pregnancy as early as 17 days in horses and 30 days in cattle. Diagnosis of pregnancy at this early stage will help with management and care.

Manual palpation is also a means of pregnancy diagnosis and can be done at 40 days post breeding in horses and cattle.
